This moderated panel discussion will focus on the societal implications of progress in artificial intelligence and how perspectives on this vary around the world. The panel is open to all and no formal background in AI is required. The panelists include:
The panel will be moderated by Dr. Peter Hershock, Director of the Asian Studies Development Program at the East-West Center. The panel is being hosted as part of the Second Conference on AI, Ethics, and Society (AIES, Jan. 27-28) and in anticipation of the broader 33rd Annual Conference of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI, Jan. 27-Feb.1), both to be held at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
