AIES 2022 STUDENT PROGRAM

The student track has two purposes: to provide graduate students with financial support to attend the conference, and to create some structured engagement between student participants and senior scholars at AIES. In addition to attending the conference, accepted students will participate in a poster session explaining their own research in progress, and will have the opportunity to meet with senior scholars for mentoring purposes.

All students with research interests relevant to the conference are welcome to apply, whether or not they have submitted a paper to the main track of AIES. For those students who have submitted, these papers can overlap substantially with research-in-progress presentations but must not be identical.

Acceptance into the student program will include both free conference registration and a travel stipend to cover (or at least significantly offset) the costs of traveling and accommodation, and/or direct provision of housing in Keble College. The precise award amount will vary according to the travel costs of each participant, as well as their access to support funding at their home institutions.

Submission of Final Version of Presented Research: May 30th, 2022 (Note that this step is optional, and that it is well after the conference so that feedback from the conference can be incorporated)
